How To Use Your ZapStrap Charge & Ride System

​

The ZapStrap charge and ride kit will arrive fully built.

​

1. Charge The ZapStrap using the provided wall charger. Light on wall charger should come on while charging. Light will shut off when fully charged.

​

2.  Connect The ZapStrap to The ZapConverter. ZapConverter numbers will light up.

​

3.  Click the "SET" button to the alternate between voltage and amperage settings.

(Check the back of the charger provided with your electric vehicle if unsure of voltage and amperage) 

​

4. Connect The Leash to The ZapConverter.

​

5. Connect The Leash to the charging-port of your electric vehicle.

        (You may need to do the Vamp. Mod for this step. See video below)

​

6. Click "OK" button on The ZapConverter to charge your electric vehicle.

​

7. Get on your electric vehicle and enjoy your new freedom.

How To Use Your ZapStrap Parallel and Ride System

​

1. Locate your charger provided with your EV.  Read the information on the back to Confirm the voltage matches the voltage of your ZapStrap.

​

2.  Charge The ZapStrap fully using your charger or the one you received from us.

​

3.  Charge your EV fully. 

​

4. Use the ZapMeter to confirm they are at the same full charged status. 

     (Note*ZapMeter works great during charging to see status)

​

5. Connect TheLeash to the charging-port of your electric vehicle or in parallel directly to your battery.

​

6.  That's it!!   You just upgraded your EV to a larger battery.

 

7.  Go ride and enjoy that new amperage!

We suggest leaving it connected all the time as the ZapStrap and your EV must be close in voltage prior to connecting.  (within a few volts is fine).

​

You can even charge them at the same time using a splitter! 

​
